Fire safety regulations for furniture BS 5852

It is a regulation on fire safety of furniture exported to the United Kingdom. This regulation is now widely used in the European Union. This standard has been revised for three times The new and revised version was first issued in November 1979, and then revised in December 1990. The current applicable version is the version revised in 2006, which is also a new version.

Scope of application:

Furniture for private use, such as sofas, beds, children's furniture and cushions, in rooms and other dwellings (including caravans)

High chair, mattress (any size) and pillow

Outdoor furniture for private use (such as garden / yard, etc.), but also for indoor and other accommodation (including caravan)

Note: not suitable for bedding and carpet
